Jeff Greene
Vice President, Global Government Affairs and Policy
Jeff Greene is the Vice President, Global Government Affairs & Policy at Symantec, where he leads a global team of policy professionals who focus on cybersecurity, data integrity and privacy issues. Prior to joining Symantec, Jeff was Senior Counsel with the U.S. Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee, where he focused on cybersecurity and homeland defense issues. He also worked as a Subcommittee Staff Director with the House Committee on Homeland Security, Counsel to the Senate’s Special Investigation into Hurricane Katrina, and as an attorney with a Washington, D.C. law firm. Jeff is a member of the National Institute of Standards and Technology’s Internet Security and Privacy Advisory Board (ISPAB), and worked as a guest researcher supported the President’s Commission on Enhancing National Cybersecurity. He recently served as the staff co-chair of the “Internet of Things” research subcommittee of the President's National Security Telecommunications Advisory Committee and is a Senior Fellow at The George Washington University Center for Cyber and Homeland Security. He speaks often on cybersecurity, the "Internet of Things," data breach, and privacy issues. He has a B.A. in International Relations from Boston University and a J.D. with Honor from the University of Maryland, where he has taught classes in Homeland Security law and policy.

Ilias Chantzos
Senior Director, Government Affairs EMEA & APJ, Global Advisor on Critical Infrastructure and Data Protection
Ilias Chantzos serves as Senior Director of Government Affairs for Europe, Middle East & Africa (EMEA) and Asia Pacific Japan (APJ) regions. In addition, he is the Global Advisor for Critical Infrastructure and Data Protection. Ilias represents Symantec before government bodies, national authorities and international organizations advising on public policy issues with particular regard to information security, critical infrastructure, cyberdefense and privacy. Before joining Symantec in 2004, he worked as legal and policy officer in the Directorate General Information Society of the European Commission on a number of legislative initiatives and international agreements relevant to information society and cybersecurity. He started his career working as an attorney in law firms and in-house. Ilias is a qualified barrister and a member of the Athens Bar. He holds a law degree from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, a Master’s degree in Computers and Communication Law from Queen Mary College in the University of London, and a Master’s degree in Business Administration from the Solvay Business School. He served as Chairman of the Executive Board of TechAmerica Europe and served for four terms as Chairman of the European Policy Council of Business Software Alliance (BSA). He is a member of the Permanent Stakeholders Group of the European Network and Information Security Agency (ENISA) and sits at Europol’s European Cybercrime Center (EC3) Advisory Board. He has extensive experience in Public Private Partnerships with governments and international organizations like NATO and ITU. Ilias is a member of the Young Global Leaders 2014 class of the World Economic Forum. He speaks Greek, English, Dutch and German.

Dena Graziano
Senior Director, Federal Government Affairs
Dena Graziano serves as Senior Director of Federal Government Affairs, where she is responsible for Symantec’s public policy development as well as political and strategic engagement with Capitol Hill. Prior to joining Symantec, Dena worked on Capitol Hill for 15 years, serving in various capacities in both the Senate and the House, including Communications Director for the House Homeland Security and Judiciary Committees, and as the Executive Assistant to the late Senator Ted Kennedy. Dena currently is a Member of the InfraGard National Advisory Board.

Kim Allman
Director, Government Affairs, Symantec - Consumer
Kim Allman recently joined Symantec’s government affairs team following the acquisition of LifeLock, an identity theft company. While at LifeLock, Kim established the Washington, DC office as Vice President for Government Affairs and Corporate Social Responsibility. Prior to LifeLock, Kim served for six years in the Obama Administration as the Director of the Office of Government Relations at the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS), the federal agency that engages more than five million Americans in service through AmeriCorps and Senior Corps. Kim ran her own successful consulting business working with movie studios, record companies and non profits including, Rosie O’Donnell’s For All Kids Foundation, on public policy strategy. Kim is a nationally recognized leader of state legislative programs having run the fifty-state efforts for the domestic music industry at the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and TechAmerica, at the time, the largest trade association representing the technology industry. Kim worked as a Press Secretary for Rep. Louise Slaugher (D-NY) and the public policy team for the former MCIWorldCom.

Thomas Maclellan
Director, Policy & Government Affairs
Thomas MacLellan is Director of Policy and Government Affairs for Symantec. His focus is the cybersecurity policy challenges facing state and local governments and higher education. Thomas has nearly 20 years’ experience working nationally across a range of areas including cybersecurity, electronic crime, forensics, public safety broadband, justice information sharing, prescription drug abuse, privacy, energy assurance, as well as others. Most recently, he was director of National Homeland Security Policy and Government Affairs for FireEye. Prior to that he was Director of Homeland Security and Public Safety for the National Governors Association. Thomas directed the Governors Homeland Security Advisors Council (GHSAC), the official body for states’ homeland security advisors and created the first national effort aimed improving states’ cybersecurity. He is a graduate of the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the Naval Postgraduate School Executive Leaders Program in Monterey, California.

Brian Fletcher
Director, Government Affairs, Australia-Pacific, Japan, and Korea
Brian is the Director of the APJ and Korea region and represents Symantec’s public policy, government-industry partnership, and business initiatives in the region. Prior to joining Symantec, Brian served in the Australian Government service for 21 years, and spent the last 8.5 years in the Australian Signals Directorate in the Department of Defense. He previously served as Director of Cyber Security Relationships where he led the development of cybersecurity partnerships with industry and federal, state, and territory governments. He has also served in the Australian Embassy in Washington D.C. He holds a Bachelor of Science with honors in Neuroscience and is currently pursuing his MBA.

Deepak Maheshwari
Director, Government Affairs, India
Deepak Maheshwari heads Government Affairs in India for Symantec and acts as the nodal point on policy, legislation and regulation. A seasoned public policy professional, he has a keen interest in the interplay of technological innovation with socio-economic development. An oft-invited speaker and panelist, his articles, opinions and reviews have been widely published. He is a charter member of the IEEE Experts in Technology & Policy and vice chair of BSA. He served as elected secretary for ISP Association of India (ISPAI) for two consecutive terms, co-founded the National Internet eXchange of India (NIXI) and helped form the Internet and Mobile Association of India (IAMAI). He has previously worked with Microsoft, MasterCard, Sify & HCL. He graduated in engineering from Indian Institute of Technology and also has a law degree.

Ken Durbin, CISSP
Senior Strategist, Global Government Affairs & Cybersecurity
Ken Durbin, CISSP is a Strategist for Symantec Global Government Affairs. His focus is on Compliance and Risk Management (CRM), the Public Sector, the Critical Infrastructure Sector and the challenge of balancing Compliance with the implementation of Cybersecurity Solutions. His focus also includes Standards, Mandates and Best Practices and their application to CRM. Mr. Durbin is heavily involved with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and the EU’s Global Data Protection Regulation (GDPR.) Mr. Durbin is a frequent speaker/panelist and has authored and contributed to multiple articles on CRM issues.

Carla Baker
Senior Manager, Government Affairs, UK and Ireland
Carla Baker is a Senior Government Affairs Manager, responsible for driving the company’s public policy agenda in UK and Ireland and representing Symantec before public authorities, industry associations and trade bodies. Prior to joining Symantec, Carla was a director at Intellect, leading the trade association’s Cyber Security Programme. In this role she led the development of industry-wide policy positions on specific cyber related issues, informed the development of government policy and built successful relationships with senior government officials, Minister and MPs. Before joining Intellect, Carla worked for a number of government departments, working in a variety of roles ranging from facilitating procurement contracts to shaping the development of mental health legislation.

Frank Giessen
Senior Manager, Government Affairs, Germany
Frank Giessen is the Senior Government Affairs Manager of Symantec in Germany. He represents Symantec before policy makers and regulators on matters related to public policy, information security and cybercrime. Frank also represents Symantec before industry associations and think-tanks such as Bitkom which is the largest association of German digital companies. He joined Symantec in 2010 and was responsible for Public Sector business in Germany. Before joining Symantec, Frank managed Public Sector business for ORACLE and CA. One of his major achievements during his time at Symantec includes the involvement of Symantec in the Munich Cyber Dialogue, which is one of the most important cybersecurity events in Germany. Frank is a Board Member of D21 Initiative, a non-profit organization that brings together politics and business in the information society.

Goran Gotev
Senior Manager, Government Affairs, EU Institutions and France
Goran is Senior Manager for Government Affairs and represents Symantec before national, EU and international government bodies in the EMEA region with emphasis on the EU institutions and France. His areas of expertise include cybersecurity, data protection, privacy and critical infrastructure protection, having exercised similar roles in both the public and private sector. Before joining Symantec, Goran was a senior consultant on digital policy issues with high-ranking consultancies Hanover Communications (2016 – 2018) and Fleishman Hillard (2014 – 2016). In these capacities, he was entrusted to provide tailored advice to a number of European and Fortune 500 companies on issues related to cybersecurity, data protection and privacy, telecommunications and online platforms, among others. Goran’s public-sector background includes a short-term assignment as an advisor to the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor and Social Policy of Bulgaria (2016), where he was in charge of European Affairs, including on the country’s preparation for the Bulgarian Presidency of the EU. Between 2007 and 2014, he worked for Bulgarian Social-Democrat Members of European Parliament (MEPs), including as digital policy adviser to MEP Ivailo Kalfin (2009–2014), who was notably the lead rapporteur on the owninitiative report on cybersecurity and critical information infrastructure protection and the ITRE shadow rapporteur for the NIS directive. Goran holds a Master’s degree in Political Science from Lille 2 University (France) and besides his native Bulgarian, he is fluent in English and French and he operates in Spanish and Italian.

Giampiero Nanni
Senior Manager, Government Affairs, EMEA
Giampiero Nanni is a Senior Government Affairs Manager and represents Symantec's public policy agenda in Italy, Spain, and countries in the Middle East and Africa, in addition to working with international organizations like ITU and OSCE. Giampiero joined Symantec in 2012 and transitioned into the GA EMEA team in the summer of 2014 after working with Public Sector Strategy, EMEA. Previous appointments include Public Sector EMEA roles at Microsoft, IBM, and Cisco. At Microsoft, as Director of Marketing Public Sector EMEA, he was responsible for the EMEA editions of the Government Leaders Forum. This flagship event for policy makers featured Bill Gates as a regular speaker alongside prominent political leaders like Angela Merkel, Manuel Barroso, Gordon Brown, and Bill Clinton.

Ursula Bartlett
Senior Administrative Specialist
Ursula Bartlett is the Senior Administrative Specialist in Washington, DC. Prior to joining Symantec, Ursula worked for fifteen years as an Executive Assistant and Office Manager for the City of Los Angeles Mayor’s Office of Federal Relations where she worked closely with the Deputy Mayor of Federal Relations, the Mayor of Los Angeles, and the DC staff. She holds a BA in Psychology from Ursuline College.
