Diversity, Equity & Inclusion
Symantec is building a diverse and inclusive culture, a culture centered on our core values and a shared commitment to excellence. We believe that an equitable and inclusive work environment, one where people can be their authentic selves, can help amazing things come to life.
At Symantec, everyone has a voice. Diverse points of view help us make better business decisions, to make sure the products and services we offer meet the needs of the broad spectrum of people we serve worldwide. This starts with building teams with different backgrounds and perspectives. It helps us understand our customers better, enables us to respond to new trends more rapidly, and stimulates innovation. We invest in diversity not just because it’s the right thing to do but because it translates to a higher performing industry, company… and bottom line.
We have a multifaceted approach when it comes to driving diversity, equity and inclusion at Symantec:
As the world’s leader in cyber defence, we have a duty to invest in tomorrow. Whether it’s through supporting STEM opportunities for girls or providing equal opportunity for underrepresented professionals, Symantec is committed to creating a more equitable future for all.
We are also committed to safe and inclusive workplaces where everyone is respected and encouraged to thrive. That’s our commitment to you.
In April 2017, the UK Government introduced legislation requiring any organisation in Great Britain with 250 or more employees to publish their gender pay gap (GPG). As an annual requirement, this report gives us an opportunity to see how well we’re living up to our values as a company and our commitment to diversity.
Symantec is guided by a set of high ethical standards which underscore our commitment to building a strong, diverse, and passionate team—a team that stands together to protect our customers like no one else can. It’s not simply about compliance—we owe it to our team members, our customers, and our partners to be champions of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
